    Cool Brazil Travel Forum

Being active on this forum since it's start (formerly known as the Traveljunks forum) since 2012 I have been building a knowledge-base about Brazil.

During the restructuration from TravelJunks to World Travel Forums this subforum dissappeared (nobody knows exactly why...). Luckily the posts did not, so they could be easily re-grouped

So, following the beautiful example of the Japan-pages I think it would be nice to re-open the separate Brazil page.
Brazil is an interesting country (one of the largest in the world) and has opened itself since the 2014 Worldcup and the 2016 Olympics.
I think there is enough knowlegde out there to be added to a separate World Travel Forum / Brazil page.

    Any objections ?

Sunny greetz from the tropix of Salvador da Bahia

    Check http://www.worldtravelforums.net/for...nline-Channels please.

    - One way to attract more visitors to your forum is to add a Facebook group to your forum, like the one for Japan. Do you have any experience with Facebook groups? Shall we setup one for Brazil?

    Great idea Jeroen
    let's do it
To discover Salvador da Bahia and more of the nicest in NE-Brazil or visit Tours by Locals in Salvador for specific tour-guide information. To know more about Bahia's National Park - also known as "the Brazilian Grand Canyon" - visit this page : Chapada Diamantina and look at some trekking-pictures of the Valé do Pati

    Re: Brazil Travel Forum

Meanwhile the Facebook-Group Brazil Travel Forum is active

Question ... should it be a "closed group" or "open" ?
"Open" has the advantage more people can read/access it, no ?

I tested it, but I really can't tell if it has an effect in how fast your group grows...

You can adjust it in the settings of your group untill it has 5000 members.

    Re: Brazil Travel Forum

News post about the new group: http://www.worldtravelforums.net/sho...oup-for-Brazil

And the group is added to your forum: www.worldtravelforums.net/brazil Your regular forum is now called 'Brazil Travel Tips' because the main category is already called 'Brazil Travel Forum'.

Do you want to keep it this way or do you want another name for this forum?

Brazil Travel Forum group on Facebook already has over 200 members ;-)
Here on the forum things open gradually to differentiating subjects...
    So I think we're evolving ;-)

    Re: Brazil Travel Forum

This is getting complicated and confusing J

It think it should be enough to have Brazil Travel Forum
The Facebook group can be put in the sticky section there

Like it is now there is to much clicking around (without any need)

    Thanks for rearranging that ;-)

All fora / channels will have subforums so that your visitors can easily navigate to the information they are looking for. Here on the website there is an easy search bar to find information, but not in the app. That's why you have to organize your information into subforums.

yes, and I was the one who asked for this initially
but now it has been taken a step to far

you created a Brazilian Sub forum
in which you created an extra Brazilian Travel Tip sub
to promote the Brazilian Facebook Group (which is now already over 400 members and still growing)

that is just one step to much
the correct way (in order to avoid confusing clicking around) should be the Brazilian Sub Forum whithout the Traveltips (which should be immediatelly give access to all Brazilian related threads), the Facebook Group Page can then be mentioned in the the sticky section

Simple & straight to the point is always better

Hi Ivan, you told me you needed permission to remove users that post offtopic? I checked the permissions. Is it ok now?

    Re: Brazil Travel Forum

    Hai Jeroen,

I tried, for example our newest spammer "travelme" here at this post http://www.worldtravelforums.net/sho...idays-in-India
which I cannot edit to take out spam links ...

I also noticed where I have no admin rights, yet (and after testing that's about everything but Brzl pages) I have no IP-link button
which I often look at because it always interesting to see if spammers post from the same IP (which I have often seen in the past from our typical Indian and Pakistani spammers)

So, as "forum admin" my permissions are still not available ;-)
